Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat together sugars and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, beating after each addition.
Mix together in a separate bowl: flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix into butter and sugar mixture.
Next, mix in oatmeal, cranberries, and walnuts. Combine well.
Drop dough by tablespoonful onto parchment lined baking sheets.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown. Bake longer for crispier cookies, less for soft-centered cookies. Cool on a wire rack.
