Making mango sorbet sounds exotic, but it’s actually very simple.
Use Frozen Fruit
I developed this recipe because the frozen mango chunks I bought on sale at the market weren’t very sweet, and I was disappointed.
After making a quick simple syrup (recipe below), I just used my mini blender and the syrup to make a delicious sorbet.
Experiment with various frozen fruits. You’ll be amazed at how easy and delicious your sorbet really is.

Easy, homemade, two ingredients
- 2 c. frozen mango chunks
- 1/4 c. simple syrup
-
Thaw mango chunks slightly. Place in blender cup and add simple syrup. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately, or store in freezer.

It's called simple syrup for a reason!
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
-
To make the simple syrup, mix 1 c. sugar and 1 c. water in a saucepan. Continue stirring over medium heat until the sugar totally dissolves and the mixture just begins to thicken a bit (it will just be reaching the boiling point). Cool.
Keep in a covered container in the refrigerator.
