As mid-November frosts move in, the landscape begins to fade. The trees and understory have lost their rich hues. The creek water is steel gray. The grasses are tan.
It’s hard to believe that only last week, the colors were riotous. I looked around me and thought that I had never seen such vivid golds, oranges, and reds against the robin’s egg-blue sky. Fall had finally arrived.
It took just one hard frost to change everything. Yet, that is what it’s all about. The Weepies got it right: Same Changes.
Enjoy these last weeks of autumn!
